The start of the year has seen some great results with Kyle now leading the Wollongong and Sydney JNL club championships. The second place at Eastern Creek now means Kyle has won a trophy at every track in the Greater Sydney region except Newcastle.

Kyle stepped up and filled in at JNL and JNH in the Karting For MS Kart Relay pulling his team back onto the lead lap and putting V8 SuperCar Driver Damian Assaillit in position to move the team into first place for the first time on the last lap of 159.

After a test in his new Junior Chassis Kyle decided to move to Juniors as soon as he turned 12. Thanks to Troy at TopGun Racing Kyle is up to speed and has managed a fighting 7th at Wollongong despite handling damage and a 2nd at Oran Park. Kyle is enjoying the larger fields and tough racing as he pits his skills against kids as old as 16.

Kyle continues to improve not just his driving skills but his racing skills as well. Some great heat races have given Kyle some front row spots for the finals only to be let down with mechanical failure. With Kyle's 12 birthday approaching the focus has moved to getting ready for Kyles move to the bigger, faster Junior division.

After trips to Port Macquarie and Griffith it was a welcome return to our home track of Wollongong. In a depleted field local rival Hayden stepped up to the plate to push Kyle all day and if it was not for the help of the karting gods putting a lapped kart in the right spot Kyle would not have been able to get close enough to take the lead with 1 to go.

The last 6 weeks has seen Kyle pick up a 2nd and a PB in Wollongong, an excellent 4th in the rain at Oran Park against a large quality field and a struggling Premier State Cup Round at Lithgow. Next week will be a kart free week before consolidating his recent good form at home in Wollongong.
